  A separate State Salmon licence is required to fish for Salmon and Sea-trout. Licences can be obtained from the above local Tackle shops or from www.cfb.ie  

 
 Visiting Anglers are reminded that the River Boyne and Blackwater are designated Catch and Release for all Salmon and Sea-trout angling for the 2010 season.   www.cfb.ie  

There is a ban in the use of worms on the river system

Anglers must use single barbless hooks

All fish must be returned carefully to the river alive
